Chris had fallen asleep for a little while, but he woke up slightly, and kissed Darren’s cheek sleepily to let his husband know he was awake before snuggling into Darren’s side again.

Darren smiled when Chris kissed his cheek and cuddling back into Chris a little as he smiled even more at Lea’s words and laughing slightly, “He does look adorable in a bow tie” he d

“Mm, yes he does, just like his daddy,” Chris said, snuggling into Darren more and smiling at Thomas. He rested a hand on his stomach, rubbing gently because he didn’t feel very well.

Lea sat up she felt awkward for the first time laying in Darren’s lap with Chris sitting there “So where’s Joey?” she asked

“He’s gone to Clovis with Alex, Alex needed to get his clothes and stuff since he’s going on the book tour with Chris and then Alex’s parents also wanted to meet Joey” Darren explained.

“He doesn’t live with us Lea,” Chris said, laughing slightly. “The only reason they came to Europe was because we needed someone to bring Thomas over, and it’s such a long flight, of course we were going to let them stay a couple days, but it’s nice to have just our family back…” Chris said, smiling softly. He secretly thought that part of the reason Lea hated Joey was because she didn’t like how close he was to Darren.

“I just thought he would still be here” she said “Anyway you are bringing max with you right?” she said petting the puppy, she felt a little awkward now

“Well I mean he doesn’t live here but if the closest thing to a babysitter we’re going to have is Alex then he might have to” Darren joked laughing slightly not realizing Chris’ intention for saying that. “Yeah ofcourse, we can leave him with my parents otherwise” Darren replied to Lea smiling.

“Mm, I just don’t want to hire a nanny…” Chris said awkwardly. He could sense that Lea felt awkward, and he suddenly felt like he was intruding on their hang out time or something. Not to mention, he was starting to feel sicker and sicker. “I’m going to go take a nap,” he said, getting up.

“I know, I can’t believe it…” Chris said, “pretty soon he’s going to stop letting us put him in random outfits and bowties all the time…”

“Thats how I feel about the twins” she said “So my puppy how are you going to entertain me?” she asked “You have an hour maybe two” she said tickling him

Darren began laughing loudly squirming when Lea tickled him as he began tickling her back, “Well we were just going to watch Ariel but you’re the guest so you choose” he replied recovering from the laughter.

“Daddy, can I cuddle Aunt Lea?” Thomas asked shyly, peeking over at Lea and smiling at her softly.

“We can totally watch Ariel” she said smiling at Darren “Of course you can sweetie” she said looking at Chris to make sure it was okay.

“Alright them Ariel it is” Darren laughed getting up to put the Ariel DVD into the player before sitting down beside Lea to cuddle beside her and pulling Chris down on his other side to cuddle into him as well.

“You never have to ask to cuddle any of your aunts or uncles sweetie, they all love you,” Chris said, smiling at him as Thomas hesitantly crawled across the couch to sit in Lea’s lap. “Do you like Ariel?” he asked her. Chris smiled, snuggling into Darren and yawning sleepily. 

“I love Ariel” she said as Thomas settled in her lap and she snuggled into Darren “You do realize when you come to Vancouver I’m not going to let you leave right?” she said 

Darren laughed, “I do, me and Max are coming up with escape plans later” Darren said looking at the puppy curled up on Lea’s other side quietly, trying to sleep as Thomas reached over to poke the puppy. “Besides I don’t understand why you have to live so far” he said pouting before wrapping an arm around Chris to run his fingers through his hair slowly, “Looks like someone’s tired” he whispered.

Chris hummed sleepily as Darren ran his fingers through his hair. “Mm, can’t help it, I’m carrying your baby inside of me, what do you expect,” he said, laughing softly and smiling at Darren, shifting on the couch slightly to lay his head in Darren’s lap. “Thomas honey, puppy’s like it when you pet them, not poke them sweetie,” he said tiredly.

“I know its far but we love it up there” she said “I’ll be back in like a month when we start filming again so we can hang out like all the time” she said “Blame Cory for it he had to be from Canada” she said laughing 

Darren smiled at Chris’ words as Thomas pouted, “But I like poking it” he said reached over to poke Max again when the puppy squirmed away a little. “See you should listen to your papa” Darren said causing Thomas to only pout and cross his arms across his chest in a cartoonish fashion before sticking his tongue out at Darren. “Damn those Canadians” Darren replied to Lea laughing slightly as he continued running his fingers through Chris’ hair slowly.

“Mm, I think I’ll go take a nap… let you two catch up…” Chris said, smiling softly at them. He knew Lea probably wanted some alone time with Darren, and on top of that, he was starting to feel worse. He sat up and stretched.

“Well I want to see you before I leave” she said to Chris “Try crackers they help” she said petting Max “Thomas be sweet to your puppy, see if you pet him he’ll come lay with you” she said petting Max.

“You can just lie down here” Darren suggested but decided to let Chris choose. Max leaned into Lea as she petted him. “But Maxy likes to be poked” Thomas said poking Max in the side causing the puppy to turn away from Thomas.

“Mm, I don’t want to get in the way of your guys’ time,” he said sleepily, leaning into Darren slightly. “Sweetheart,” he said, looking at Thomas, “he doesn’t like to be poked, see, he turned away. You have to be nice to him and pet him gently, okay?”

“Thomas be sweet would you like it if someone poked you all the time?” she said “Puppy I’m worried what’ll happen if he pokes Winnie or Sheila” she said

Darren pulled Chris into a quick but deep kiss, “Convincing enough to stay?” he asked as Thomas scrunched up his nose at the two men mumbling an “Eww” before pouting, “Okay I won’t poke Maxy….can I poke Daddy then?” he asked Chris giving him puppy dog eyes as Darren leaned over to fix the little boys bow tie which matched the one Darren was wearing. Darren laughed at Lea’s question, “Its okay I’ll carry him so he doesn’t poke them” he replied.

Lea laid her head in Darrens lap like she always did and looked up at him “We have to go to the aquarium when you guys come Thomas will love it” she said

“Aquawum?” Thomas asked trying to pronounce the big and unfamiliar word as Darren laughed, “Yeah definitely, we’ve taken him to the zoo quite a few times now but he’s not gone to the aquarium yet” Darren said ruffling the little boy’s hair.

“He is so cute puppy” she said “He reminds me of you”

Darren smiled, “He does?” he asked, even though him and Chris weren’t biologically related to Thomas, Darren still liked to think Thomas would turn out like them.
